Have you ever stopped and really listened to the things your coworkers talk about when they are on break? Some people just have no sense of what is appropriate to discuss in the workplace, as if no one else were around to over them.

Retcon

Those familiar with comic books (and some TV shows) will know that “retcon” refers to retroactive continuity, a rewriting of story “history”. Using the fantastic technology under my control, I have “updated” the site, retroactively. Some of the things I have said before are now different. Please let me know if you like what you see. Or if you don’t.

For those who don’t know, comic books have had a long and not so distinguished history of naming black characters with imaginative names like Black Panther, Black Lightning, and Black Vulcan. Y’know, because they are black and you wouldn’t want to comic fans to miss out. Of course, most of the characters that have endured were created in the 70s, so maybe the tendency came out of the movie titles of the Blaxploitation era. At any rate, this is our bit of fun at the expense of the comic book industry. As opposed to our bit of fun at the expense of someone else. Now I want a Blackness Man t-shirt.
